Book details

Mansfield Tales is a collection of ten short stories based on real events. The characters portrayed lived in a time when the Plague, outlaws and the hangman's noose were never far away. These are people who walked the streets of Mansfield: blunt, plain-speaking John Cockle; poor, simple-minded Robin Down; young, innocent Bessie Sheppard. In Mansfield Tales they come to life once again.

About the Author

Malcolm Seymour has written many articles and short stories for newspapers and magazines and has written and presented a programme on the English Civil War. His great passion is cricket, which formed the backdrop to his crime novel Test Case.
